Right on the edge of the Marlborough Downs in the village of Wanborough lies the Harrow Inn. This charming, thatched, village pub, parts of which date back to circa 1637, enjoys a reputation of serving an excellent range of real ales. The proprietors Karen and Dave are pleased to confirm the Harrow's ongoing inclusion to the CAMRA Good Beer Guide since 2003. You can buy Cheap Train Tickets from the nearest tube station and explore the country side at will. This 300 year old building still retains many of the original features from its days as a coaching inn, it has a character split level village bar and a seperate dining room ideal for private functions or parties. We also house an Insurance Claims center on the back side of the building. Whether you are a regular customer or just visiting the area, you are guaranteed a warm welcome and attentive service from Karen, Dave and all the staff at The Harrow Inn. The real ales are complemented by a pub food menu of delicious homemade dishes. Arrive in the Winter and you will be welcomed with crackling log fires. The CAMRA Good Beer Guide describes the main inglenook fireplace as an "open fire which features some of the largest logs you will have ever seen". |
